Carly Rae Jepsen Chats To ET Canada About Her Canada’s Walk Of Fame Award Show Honour

“Call Me Maybe”; pop sensation Carly Rae Jepsen hung out with some pretty impressive company when she attended this year’s Canada’s Walk of Fame Awards. The singer wasn’t just there for a good time, mind you. The multi-platinum selling recording artist was in attendance to receive the prestigious 2013 Allan Slaight Award.

ET Canada“s Sangita Patel was at the star-studded affair and got a chance to chat with the Canadian Idol alum about her feelings on earning the award.

“It’s such an honour,”; said Jepsen. The Allan Slaight Award is given to young Canadians “who have the ability to turn their talent into inspiration.”;

Justin Bieber and his manager Scooter Braun weren’t shy about singing Jepsen’s praises on the night she accepted the honour.

“I told you I was proud of her,”; offered Bieber while discussing the singer with Braun.

The admiration was mutual as Jepsen gave The Biebs a shout-out in her acceptance speech.

“Justin, thank you for tweeting my song…cause it was kind of awesome. It changed everything,”; the pop star beamed onstage.
