According to Billboard, 2013 was a good year to be the creator of an Unorthodox Jukebox.

The magazine has crowned Bruno Mars as their choice for “Artist of the Year.”; Billboard pointed to the “Locked Out of Heaven”; singer’s strong album sales (Unorthodox Jukebox was the best-selling non-Justin Timberlake album in 2013 with 1.8 million units moved), consistent presence on the singles charts and popular Moonshine Jungle tour as the reasoning for bestowing the pop star with the honour.

By the looks of things, 2014 might not be a shabby year for Mars either. The singer is set to perform at the halftime show for Super Bowl XLVIII and he’ll hit the road in 2014 to play a number of North American dates. Calgary, Saskatoon, Winnipeg, Toronto, Ottawa and Montreal are all slated to see Mars in 2014.
