In a new Details magazine interview, former Breaking Bad star, Aaron Paul, dishes on his humble beginnings before getting his big break.
“My family never owned a home. We leased,” he told the magazine adding that he held up to five jobs at a time including, “Pizza Hut delivery boy, the cookie stand at the mall, delivering flyers for a local contractor, and I was a big tookie-bird mascot for a top-40 station and a giant frog for a country station.”
After moving to LA with $6,000 in his pocket, he landed his first gig in a Corn Pops commercial which lead to more commercial work.
Aaron also goes on to explain how he met his wife at a Coachella concert in 2010 and the details of their whirlwind love affair.
“…We were just so distracted with the high that was happening between us. It’s unexplainable. I told her that night I was going to marry her. I did. I told her that. I knew what she was all about. I mean, come on, she runs an anti-bullying nonprofit called Kind Campaign.”
With his career and love life in check, Aaron says that he and Bryan Cranston (who portrayed Walter White in the AMC series) are definitely game to be part of the Breaking Bad prequel Better Call Saul. Until then, he’s throwing his efforts behind his new movie, Need for Speed.
“Running around, driving like a maniac in really expensive, fast cars? Why not? After six long, intense years on Breaking Bad, this was perfect.”
