The National Football League has revealed who will be tackling the Star Spangled Banner for February’s big game and it’s someone with a bit more prestige than Super Bowl XXIX anthem singer Kathie Lee Gifford.

Opera megastar Renee Fleming has been chosen as the official anthem voice for Super Bowl XLVIII in East Rutherford, New Jersey.
The Grammy-winning soprano will join a long line of notable Super Bowl anthem singers. Whitney Houston, Garth Brooks and Beyonce are just some of the acts that have sung the anthem ahead of America’s annual mega-sized football spectacle.
