Tate Donovan will be heading to London to join the cast of 24: Live Another Day, with the former O.C. star to play White House Chief of Staff Mark Boudreau in the upcoming reboot of the Kiefer Sutherland action series. Donovan most recently starred in Hostages with Toni Collette, although it’s doubtful the low-rated CBS drama will be returning for a second season.
According to the Fox network announcement, Boudreau is described as “an astute and strong-willed political advisor who is married to President James Heller’s (William Devane) daughter, Audrey Raines (Kim Raver) – Jack Bauer’s (Sutherland) former flame.”;
Also on board is Mary Lynn Rajskub returning to the role of Chloe O’Brien, along with newcomers Benjamin Bratt (Law & Order), Yvonne Strahovski (Dexter), Giles Matthey (Jobs), Gbenga Akinnagbe (The Wire), Michael Wincott (The Crow) and Oscar nominee and Golden Globe Award winner Judy Davis (Life with Judy Garland).
24: Live Another Day premieres Monday, May 5 on Global TV.
