Scarlett Johansson rarely ever talks about her private life with reporters, but in the new issue of People magazine, the 29-year-old actress seems to have broken protocol.

“I’m very happy,”; Johansson said about life with Romain Dauriac, 31, a former journalist who now manages a creative agency. “He’s my buddy.”;

Although the couple got engaged back in August, don’t expect to hear wedding bells anytime soon. Johansson does not want to “rush through”; the wedding’s planning stages since “being engaged is an exciting time to enjoy and to really savor.”;

And what will married life for the young couple entail exactly? Well, home-cooked meals are a possibility, but they may not always arrive at the dinner table un-charred.

“I cook, but I’m no pro,”; Johansson said. “I was making a white chicken chili and I had to let it reduce for a little while, so I was like, “Let’s go build a snowman while we wait.’ I got a little carried away … Three hours later, I was like, “Oh no, the chili!’ I went back inside and the house was covered in smoke. A pro would have not made that mistake. Make sure to check every five minutes if you are reducing something!”;
