After hearing of a Kentucky woman and her eight children who died tragically in a house fire, the Band Perry has offered to pay for the family’s burial expenses.

According to a CNN report, reps for the country band contacted friends of the Watson family — father Chad Watson and his 11-year-old-daughter survived the Thursday morning fire — and offered to pay all expenses, even offering to pick up the tab to cover hotel expenses for family members staying near the hospital where Watson, currently in critical condition, and his daughter are receiving treatment. The fire took place in Greenville, Kentucky, a small town of just over 4,000.

“I don’t know why The Band Perry reached out to the family other than they are just very gracious,”; said family friend Pam Burden. “The family doesn’t have any personal connection to the band before now.”;

Brian Bumbery, publicist for The Band Perry, confirmed the band had made the offer, but offered no further comment.

The Band Perry is made up of siblings Neil, Reid and Kimberly Perry, who performed in New Jersey Sunday in the Super Bowl pregame show.
