She helped transform the X-Men comic books into a hit movie franchise, so it’s entirely fitting that Jennifer Lawrence’s life has now been transformed into a comic book.
Fame: Jennifer Lawrence, an account of the actress’ life by writer Michael Troy and artist Ben Eargle, is out this week in both print and digital editions. The comic covers Lawrence’s career from her early breakout role in Winter’s Bone to her wildly successful run in some of Hollywood’s biggest blockbusters (X-Men and Hunger Games) to her Oscar victory for Silver Linings Playbook and her Oscar nomination for American Hustle.
“Jennifer Lawrence is a true inspiration as a talented actress and a down to earth young woman with amazing wit. I was happy to tell her tale,”; said writer Michael Troy.
“It was a lot of fun working on the book just because Jennifer is such an interesting person. All the different actors and actresses that she has worked with provided a lot of interesting material. She’s a very animated person, which works with my style!” Ben Eargle added.
The comic has also been turned into an interactive app courtesy of digital publishing platform Authorly. The app is available on iTunes, Google Play, and the Amazon Appstore for $2.99. The print version, meanwhile, can be ordered for $3.99 at Comic Flea Market.
