The revived 24: Live Another Day has already begun filming in London, but producers now find themselves scrambling to recast a key role after personal matters have reportedly forced Oscar-nominee Judy Davis to abruptly quit.

Entertainment Weekly reports that a spokesperson for Fox has confirmed a story in Deadline claiming “personal family matters”; are preventing the Golden Globe-winning actress from leaving her home in Australia, forcing her to drop out of the project.

Davis was to have played a character named Margot, described as being the villianous widow of a notorious international arms dealer. Producers are currently seeking another actress for the role.

24: Live Another Day is scheduled to premiere Monday, May 5 on Global TV.
