We won’t know for sure whether or not Miss Piggy and Kermit finally tie the knot in Muppets Most Wanted until the movie hits theatres on March 21. But we do know that the movie will feature a wedding gown, and that the gown in question was designed by none other than Vivienne Westwood.
“Vivienne Westwood is fabulous—just like moi,” said Miss Piggy in a press release. “When I asked her to design this wedding dress for moi’s new movie Muppets Most Wanted, she was thrilled and I was thrilled. The only one a bit ‘iffy’ about it was the Frog.”
In an interview with Miss Piggy for Bazaar, Westwood said, “The dress is one of my favorite styles. It’s called the Court dress and is inspired by 17th-century English royalty and the court of King Charles II. It has been designed especially for you in a white pearl sequin fabric made from recycled water bottles. It’s the perfect choice for a royal sow.”;
