The shortlist for this year’s Prism Prize has now been revealed.
The award honouring the best in Canadian music videos (as chosen by a jury of over 100 Canadian music and film industry professionals) has narrowed its pool of potential winners down to a 10-nominee slate.
Arcade Fire are the only double nominees on the list, earning spots for both their “Reflektor”; and “Afterlife”; promos. This year’s collection of contenders includes a healthy assortment of critical faves (Majical Cloudz, Shad), as well as mega-selling hip-hop superstar, Drake.
The winner of the Prism Prize not only scoops the award, but also the accompanying grand prize of $5000. The victor will be announced at the awards reception on Mar. 23.
