Canadian Star Of The Week: Seth Rogen

By Kate Morawetz.

You’ll be hard pressed to find a celebrity with a more recognizable laugh than our Canadian Star of the Week, Seth Rogen!

From Freaks And Geeks to This Is The End, Seth has become a staple in Hollywood starring in some of our favourite films such as Knocked Up, The 40 Year Old Virgin and Pineapple Express.  This spring, the funnyman will go bare chest-to-bare chest with Zac Efron in a brand new comedy we can’t wait to see, Neighbors.

We’d also like to personally thank him for his Depends-mandatory roast of James Franco.

Now that’s not the only side of him that we love.  In 2011, the star founded Hilarity for Charity, teaming up with his wife Lauren Miller and some of his hilarious friends to raise money for Alzheimer’s research.

Rogen became an advocate for victims of Alzheimer’s when his mother-in-law was diagnosed with the disease in her early 50s.  He recently testified at Capitol Hill with a speech focused on the effects of the disease.

If that’s not enough, Rogen, along with This Is The End co-writer and director Evan Goldberg, will receive the CinemaCon comedy filmmaker of the year award. The award will be given out March 27 at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas.
