Alan Thicke Returning To TV In New ‘Reality-ish’ Show: ‘Unusually Thicke’

While it’s been his son Robin who’s been making headlines lately, Canada’s Walk of Fame honouree and all-around Canadian icon Alan Thicke is stepping back into the spotlight with a new “reality-ish”; show, Unusually Thicke, debuting next month on Slice.

Featuring his “anarchic family,”; the 14-episode series will follow the Hollywood adventures of the former Growing Pains dad and his “beautiful, spicy and much-younger wife Tanya, and his dry-witted, often-opinionated 16-year-old son Carter.”;

In addition, the series will also see Alan hanging around with celebrity pals including Wayne Gretzky, David Hasselhoff, John Stamos, Bill Maher, Bob Saget and, of course, his progeny Robin Thicke.

Unusually Thicke combines my two favourite things — family…and laughing at my family,”; remarked Alan about the new show. “This series is my foray into the “reality-ish’ television world where viewers will meet the loveable, unpredictable, and often challenging people who live with the real Jason Seaver. We take our relatable real-life stories and blow them up to amuse and amaze, tossing in a handful of celebrity friends along the way. Please come aboard and enjoy the ride!”;

Unusually Thicke premieres April 16 on Slice.
