Amid the political unrest that has gripped Ukraine, 30 Seconds To Mars have followed through on their plans to play Kiev.
Not only did the Jared Leto-fronted rock outfit play their pair of scheduled shows in Ukraine, but the band also addressed the difficult political climate facing the nation.
“There’s no price too high to pay for the privilege of owning yourself,”; Leto told the crowd. The singer/actor had previously expressed public support for the people of Ukraine in his 2014 Academy Award acceptance speech.
Leto also noted that there was “no f***ing way”; that their band would have considered cancelling their two Kiev gigs.
