PEOPLE Magazine has confirmed country singer Jason Aldean is officially in a relationship with Brittany Kerr. We say officially because Jason’s previous tryst with the American Idol alum took place while he was still married. Oh, the scandal!
Jason admits the affair — a “one-time mistake”; as he called it — placed a strain on his 11-year marriage to wife Jessica. Six months after the news broke, divorce papers were filed.
A tough situation for all parties, to be sure. But Jason’s now making the best of his now-unmarried status. He and Brittany have steered clear of the spotlight — successfully, we might add — to begin a low-key courtship.
Don’t for a second think Jason’s new “dating man’ status will stand in the way of his family duties. Speaking shortly after his break-up last year, the singer noted, “[Jessica] will always be important to me because she is the mother of my children, and I know that we will both always make our daughters our number one priority.”;
