Nobody could forget Pamela Anderson bounding down the beach in Baywatch with her bouncing blonde locks. Her sexy look was all about the hair-well and a few other standout attributes. But after sporting the same style for decades, she finally decided it was time for a drastic change. And the star says her new pixie cut is changing her outlook on life.
In the April edition of Elle she tells the mag, “At first I thought I looked like Anderson Cooper or like a Q-tip or something -But now I feel really powerful.” New hair, new attitude and a new man -sort of. Earlier this year she announced she had remarried her third husband, Rick Soloman. Pam says her new “do also changed her sex life. “I have a friend who is an awesome, studly man, and he goes, ‘You know, some women cut their hair and it makes them look even more masculine, but you look even more feminine,'” she says. “I thought it would be weird having sex with short hair, but then I kind of got into the mode.”
While the world saw her as a sex-symbol, she says that image made her feel like a character. “The rock-star thing became very destructive, like, wow. I didn’t know what I was doing. I just kind of became that thing,” she says. “The hair, that rock-star kind of lifestyle, just living a dream. It kind of took over. It started out very innocent and then I turned into a cartoon character. And I started to feel like a cartoon character.”
The actor-turned-activist also opens up about “that sex tape”; with ex Tommy Lee, and if her teenage sons have seen it. “I don’t know if they’ve seen it, but they know about it. They know about everything,” she says. “Stupid Internet. I don’t know why everyone is so impressed with it.”
