Laura Vandervoort Gets Wet For PETA

Laura Vandervoort joins the growing list of celebrities pressuring SeaWorld to put an end to Orcas in captivity.

The Bitten star speaks exclusively to ET Canada while shooting her PETA campaign in Los Angeles. And in the coming weeks we will have more from Laura’s shoot that’s sure to attract attention!

This is the second time the Canadian star has teamed up with the organization for the ethical treatment of animals, and she tells us why she’s taken up the cause.

“Today I had the opportunity with PETA to experience what it was like to be in confinement in captivity. This is only a small portion of what the Orcas go through day in and day out, the size of a bath tub to them. This was two hours for me but I couldn’t possibly imagine spending my life like this. And I hope everyone understands that this is an important action that needs to be taken…boycott SeaWorld and understand these Orcas deserve to live in the environment they are used to and not be abused and neglected and treated like entertainment.”;
