Looks like Columbus Short is facing a scandal of his own. The 31-year-old actor, best known as Harrison Wright on the hit ABC series Scandal, was arrested in Los Angeles Wednesday on a felony complaint. The charge: one count of felony battery with serious bodily injury.
A hefty charge indeed. So what the heck happened? Well, Columbus allegedly punched a man at a West L.A. restaurant earlier this month, knocking him unconscious for several minutes. If convicted, he could serve up to four years in state prison.
Mind you, there may be more to the Columbus saga. TMZ reports the actor has an ongoing history of violent behavior. Citing legal documents, the site claims Columbus was arrested in February for attacking his wife in front of their two children. Two weeks later, he was reportedly arrested on a similar domestic charge.
TMZ also notes Columbus was charged with aggravated battery in March, 2010 after knocking a man’s teeth out at a basketball game.
