Seth Rogen: ‘I’m A Huge Fan Of Kanye West’

By David Humphreys, .

Just six days after Kanye West debuted his much-puzzled-over video for “Bound 2,”; Seth Rogen and James Franco managed to produce and edit an exact replica with Franco in the Kanye role and Seth Rogen filling in for Kim Kardashian. The parody nearly went as viral as the original, garnering over 7 million views.

The duo’s response time to the Kimye Vogue cover was even faster. Just hours after the cover image was made public, Franco uploaded a parody to his Instagram account with Rogen’s face photoshopped onto Kardashian’s body and his face photoshopped onto West.

But unlike his ribbing of Justin Bieber, Rogen’s parodies of Kanye West are perfectly good natured. The Knocked Up star, it turns out, is an avid admirer of West’s music and didn’t intend any disrespect with his two parodies.

“I’m a huge fan of Kanye West,”; Rogen recently told APTN. “I mean that’s obviously where it started. I’m like just really into his music and when we made the original [“Bound 2″ spoof] video, we were filming The Interview in Vancouver and we kept trying to go to Kanye West shows that kept getting cancelled or the dates kept changing and it happened like two or three times so we were always just talking about him all the time and then the video came out and so we were just like let’s just try to do that.”;

Asked who he’d cast in the role of North West in future parodies, Rogen said, “Michael Cera would be good.”;

“Shave his head and put him in a diaper,”; added his writing partner Evan Goldberg.

“Get Annie Leibovitz to take the pictures.”;
