Miley Cyrus Breaks Down, Dedicates Fleetwood Mac Song To Her Dog

By Kate Morawetz.

Losing a pet is hard, but losing a pet and then having to take the stage and perform for thousands as if nothing has happened is unimaginable.

Putting on a brave face and inviting fans to watch her sound check before Wednesday night’s Boston Bangerz tour stop, Miley Cyrus took to the stage and dedicated Fleetwood Mac’s “Landslide”; to her dog Floyd, whom she found out had passed away just hours before.

Breaking down in tears, Miley told the crowd, “I’m sure you guys already know, but the reason that I’m so upset is my dog, I shouldn’t say he was my favorite but he was my favorite, he passed away. I just wanna do a song for him. We used to always listen to Fleetwood Mac together, it’s his favorite song.”;

The heartbroken star cried her way through several tracks, but found some familial support from her sister Noah, who ran out on stage during the performance.  She remained by Miley’s side throughout the sound check.

Later on during the concert, Miley began to cry while performing “Can’t Be Tamed,”; sobbing uncontrollably next to a giant air-filled dog on stage.  Fans posted images to their Instagram pages showing Noah Cyrus trying to comfort her inconsolable sister.  The entire crew joined her on stage during “Adore You”; where her mother Tish, held on to Miley during the performance.
