One of TV’s most beloved dads, Alan Thicke, returns to primetime this week to show off his real-life parenting skills on Slice’s newest reality series, Unusually Thicke.
Alan tells us his family is just as fabulous and captivating as a fictional fan favouite. “As in Modern Family, you have the older guy, you have the teenage son,”; he describes. And of course you have the feisty, fiery, sexy “fabulous Latina,”; says Alan’s wife Tanya.

Son Robin Thicke may be beyond his growing pains phase and out of the house, but his teenage brother will be front and centre on the show. “I got forced into it cause I’m part of the family, but I love it!”; Carter, the youngest Thicke, tells us, “TV helps quite a lot with the girls, I’m not gonna lie.”;
While the show is full of laughs at Alan’s expense, like when Tanya tries to get him to overcome his hoarding ways, they’ll also expose their family struggles. “The baby issue is our biggest real life challenge, Alan tells us frankly. It’s a serious conversation,” says his wife. “I’m 38-years-old now, I don’t even know if I can get pregnant or not. You know, Alan is 102, so ya know, good luck to us.”;
