With the tragic death of Paul Walker last November, things haven’t been looking good for Universal’s Fast & Furious 7. Although much of the film had been shot, Paul Walker’s scenes weren’t entirely completed.
After several months on hiatus, the troubled production is finally back on track, courtesy of the late actor’s younger brothers. As the film’s Facebook page reports, Caleb and Cody Walker will appear in the upcoming sequel, taking Paul’s place in a number of key scenes.
“Paul had already shot his dramatic scenes and most of his action for FAST & FURIOUS 7, and it’s among the strongest work of his career”; the statement notes. “Caleb and Cody are helping us complete some remaining action for their brother and fill in small gaps left in production. Having them on set has made us all feel that Paul is with us too.”;
Shooting has already resumed, meaning the film is back on track for an April 2015 release.
