Mad Men star Jon Hamm is decidedly not a Belieber, and has some tough-love advice for Justin Bieber and other out-of-control young stars who’ve become more infamous than famous.
“Look at Bieber or whoever,” says Hamm in a new interview with Men’s Fitness magazine. “You’re like, ‘What the f**k, man? What are you doing? Why?’ There’s no one telling those people no, and it’s a shame.”
Young stars such as Bieber who’s lives have gone off the rail, he says, need “a mom or a dad or a really good friend who can say, ‘Hey, sh**head!'” And, he adds, gaining success at such a young age has left them without the kind of basic life skills most people take for granted — which will eventually bite them in their respective butts when that fame eventually recedes.
“You see people in the world and you’re like, ‘Do you know how a washing machine works? Do you know how to wash a dish?’ Life skills are something we’re missing… just s**t you needed to learn in life.”
