Paris Hilton’s latest career move has set the twitterverse abuzz. DJ Paris has been building up to her big debut by mixing it up with the likes of, Afrojack and DJ Poet, but even her professional pals couldn’t save her from heckles after her debut megamix went off the rails at Brazil’s Pop Music Festival in São Paulo.
For her premiere, the heiress turned turntablist was fully decked out in bedazzled headphones and fingerless gloves. She started out with an unusual blend between her new collaboration, Last Night with on-again-off-again boyfriend Afrojack and Rihanna’s We Found Love. Then somewhere in the middle of the mix, a mystery hand rose up from under the table to tweak the levels on her mixer!
The strange set continued with some extreme EQ tweaking and Paris singing over the tracks, but the train wreck hit an all time high when she cut to Gotye’s Somebody I Used to Know. The Australian singer once called Glee“s version of his hit song “dinky and wrong,”; and one wonders what his response to Paris’ remix will be.
Someone who always has something to say about electronic dance music fails is Deadmau5 and the Canadian producer couldn’t help but sound-off about the Simple Life star’s premiere set.
He took to Twitter posting a video of Paris and wrote: “AS I WAS SAYING… it’s over.” Another tweet read: “Thanks Afrojack we appreciate it. We really really do. You are the man. Thanks.” And he topped it off with: “Funnily enough, were on our way to go smash the f*** out of Paris… no, not that one. FRANCE. That one.” And after that, it’s no surprise that Paris Hilton has been trending on Twitter worldwide.
