Lin-Manuel Miranda was the man of the moment at Sunday’s Tony Awards, and now the creator/star of Broadway smash “Hamilton” is going for laughs with a hilarious cameo in the upcoming season of “Difficult People”.
Starring Billy Eichner (“Billy on the Street”) and Julie Klausner as a pair of comedian pals who are, as the title suggests, not so easy to deal with, the new season finds the pair mounting a play, with Billy garnering attention by using a quote from Miranda praising the new theatrical work. One teensy problem; Miranda never actually said anything about the play because Billy fabricated the quote.

This becomes an issue when Miranda himself bursts into the theatre, exclaiming: “Who said I said this show was better than mine?” To which Billy replies, “Hey, can Julie and I have tickets to ‘Hamilton’?”
