Johnny Depp Reportedly Looking To Settle Divorce Out Of Court

By Sylvia Ogweng.

After the much-publicized fallout from their separation, Johnny Depp is now hoping to settle his divorce from Heard out of court.

The star’s lawyer has requested that the judge presiding over the incident postpone Friday’s scheduled restraining order trial, TMZ reports.

Heard had requested the restraining order last month after filing for divorce from the Hollywood icon, claiming that he had been abusive throughout the entirety of their relationship.

Friday’s meeting was put in place to determine whether the temporary order would remain permanent, however,  an agreement in which both sides are forced to avoid each other is allegedly being considered.

According to TMZ, the former couple is looking to settle all terms of their divorce, including property splitting and spousal support, out of court.

Johnny Depp is reportedly prepared to pay approximately eight months of Heard’s requested $50,000 per month spousal support.

An out of court settlement would also prevent Heard from filing a civil suit with respect to her claims of domestic violence, TMZ reports.
