Grimes has raised eyebrows after the Canadian singer walked offstage during a New York City concert — in the middle of a song.
As Exclaim reports, the singer (real name: Claire Boucher) was opening for Florence + The Machine at NYC’s Barclays Center when she told fans: “We just had a really disturbing thing happen to us today, so sorry if my voice is shaking, it’s just kind of a f***ed day… trying to keep it together.”
She began performing “World Princess Part II” when she abruptly turned and walked off. According to the Brooklyn Vegan website, the house lights came up following her departure, indicating she was not coming back out.
