While the Dalai Lama is typically a man of very few, well chosen and meaningful words, he was truly rendered speechless when a Fox New reporter asked him about the movie “Caddyshack” during a recent interview.
After sitting down with the spiritual leader to discuss his views on the future, reporter Bret Baier used the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to ask him about the classic Bill Murray movie.

“Have you ever seen the movie ‘Caddyshack’?” Baier asked, to which the Dalai Lama replied with a wide-eyed “what?”
The moment became increasingly awkward when Baier asked his follow-up question. “Have you ever played golf…you’re not a big hitter?” he added.
“There’s a classic movie where they talk about the Dalai Lama,” Baier said, while attempted to explain the moment where Murray’s Carl Spackler becomes a caddy to the movie’s Dalai Lama.
