Lady Antebellum singer, Hillary Scott, opened up about the inspiration behind her heartbreaking music, revealing to “Good Morning America” that she suffered a miscarriage last October.
“Last fall, I went through a miscarriage,” the 30-year-old said on Monday’s episode of the morning show.
“This is something that is still not talked about very often,” she continued, “I also feel like there’s this pressure that you’re just supposed to be able to snap your fingers and continue to walk through life like it never happened.”
The emotional experience led her to write the touching song “Thy Will,” from her new album

“Experiencing everything that comes with a miscarriage. So it was my most raw place that I could’ve ever been when this song truly poured out of me,” Scott explained.
The new song is off her upcoming album “Love Remains,” which is a collection of hymns she recorded with her Chris Tyrell and her two-year-old daughter Eisele Kaye.
“After going through everything that I’ve gone through in the past year, but also just the process of making this record, I know I’m coming back into the mindset of Lady Antebellum … I’m very grateful,” she said.
As Scott explains, the painful experience has offered up a new approach to life. “I’m a different mom to her now … I hug her a lot tighter,” she added.
