Jamie Lynn Spears opens up like never before in a new reality special airing on TLC, with the younger sister of Britney Spears recalling how becoming pregnant at age 16 changed everything.

Then the star of Nickelodeon hit “Zoey 101”, becoming a teen mom pretty much slammed the brakes on her acting/singing career, as she reveals in “Jamie Lynn Spears: When the Lights Go Out.”

“When I became pregnant my world came crashing down,” she says in the special, wiping tears from her cheek.

She describes returning home to Louisiana after filming wrapped on “Zoey 101” and finding herself feeling nauseous. Eventually, reports The Daily Mail, she took a pregnancy test.

“We didn’t want to do it at home, so I went in the BP [gas station] and I took a pregnancy test,” she says. “I sat on the thing and we were sat there looking and my friend looks down and she freaks out and I was like, ‘What? What? What?” and the test was positive and I was pregnant. So I got the news in the ladies room at the BP, that about sums it all up.”

She admits that things “weren’t great” during that time, especially when she told her shocked parents, reports Us Weekly.

“For me, the world stopped a couple seconds,” admits her father, Jamie Spears. “It was a total shock.”
