At 30 years of age Diane Kruger seemed like she had it all — a great career and a glamorous life full of travel — but little did she know what would hit her when her now longtime boyfriend, Joshua Jackson, entered the picture.
The “Sky” actress opened up about her identity crisis with Town And Country, getting candid about a major turning point in her life. “I had become arrogant. I had been a model, I spoke three languages, I had a career. I felt I had figured it all out. And then I realized that I was living in this very privileged life in my own bubble that I created and I [didn’t] know anything about what [was] really going on in the world and I [didn’t] ask enough question,” she said about her life following a divorce from French actor Guillaume Canet. “I made a lot of different choices. I cut people out of my life who I felt were enabling my bubble.”
In 2006, Kruger and Jackson would embark on one of Hollywood’s most followed romances. Her new love, she says, opened up a whole new perspective on her life. “Meeting someone like my partner, who has a very different perspective, who likes to travel in a different way and be open to various experience was so important,” she told the magazine. “I was 30 years old and I was already bored of fancy hotels.”
