By Brent Furdyk.

A kind gesture from a rock icon made the day for a fan battling lung cancer, with Jon Bon Jovi surprising longtime fan Carol Cesario with a gift guitar and a big kiss.

Cesario’s daughter, Rosie Skripkunis, reached out to the Bon Jovi front man on social media, relating that her ill mother had always wanted to meet Bon Jovi.

Soon after, she received a reply from the rocker, who invited them toJBJ Soul Kitchen, his restaurant in Toms River, New Jersey, to enjoy a meal on the house.

While eating at the restaurant on Saturday, June 25, Cesario received the surprise of a lifetime when Bon Jovi himself sneaked up behind her and stood silently next to her until she realized who was there. “Oh my God!” she yelled upon seeing him standing there.

According to Associated Press, he gave Cesario an autographed guitar, a book and a big kiss on the cheek.
