Country star Luke Bryan will be at a home away from home on his 40th birthday.
The Academy of Country Music Awards winner will be deep in his “Kill the Lights” North American tour, but the singer knows that he’ll be surrounded by good company.

“Caroline has offered for me to pick what I want to do,” says Bryan about his wife. “So we’re probably going to get some friends together and try and go somewhere fishing or something like that.”
But Bryan has more on his mind than a massive tour a milestone birthday. His first ever E.P. is set to hits stores in September. When he looks at his growth as an artist, he says that he’s developed a mature rhythm to songwriting.
“I’ve gotten better about not writing all the time,” he says. “I felt that writing constantly was the way to overcome [pressure], so now I’ve kind of slowed down.”
