Jon Snow may know how to fight, but apparently Kit Harington does not.
Speaking to W Magazine, Harington revealed that he auditioned for “Game of Thrones” with a black eye, after getting into a scrap at a McDonald’s.

As Harington describes it, a man sitting next to him began to harass the actor’s date – what followed was a Jon Snow worthy act of chivalry: “He called her something like an ugly pig… and I got up and said ‘no you can’t call her that, get up.’ So I called him up for a fight!”
His heart may have been big, but turns out size was not on his side: “He got up and he just kept going and I realized that I had to, at that point, throw the first punch otherwise I’d look like a complete wimp. And I got battered.”

That poor handsome chap. But the way Harington looks at it, he may owe the guy a thanks: “So then I went to the Jon Snow audition with a black eye. Which I think that man who punched me in the face may have helped me get the job, so if you’re watching thank you!”
The actor also spoke about the suspense in wondering whether Snow would live or die, and what it was like to film the crucial scene of his resurrection.
