Channing Tatum Reveals Juicy Info About ‘Magic Mike 3’ Broadway Musical, Vegas Show

By Cat Williams.

While “Magic Mike 3” may not be returning to the big screen, the famed film franchise known for its dancing shirtless men will be morphing into a Broadway musical and a Las Vegas dance show – first announced on Channing Tatum’s first Facebook Live in May – and Tatum assures fans they’ll be great.

Tatum, who acts as the actor and producer of the installment, revealed more about his plans for the franchise during Cannes Lions according to The Hollywood Reporter. “The third installment will be the show, and I think it has to evolve past these guys,” he said. “The first one was about Mike, the second one was about the guys and I think the third one is really about man and woman having a conversation about sex and themselves and who we all are. That’s the next step I would like to take with the story.”

While Tatum reportedly played coy when it came to the identity of the Broadway show director, he noted that the next adaptation will bring a different style of performance. He said, “It’s tough, because you don’t want to just come out with all this stuff. We are slowly boiling down [ideas] to see which one works.”

Speaking about his other creative endeavours, like his vodka brand, he said, “Once I start repeating stuff I just get bored. I start to not be as connected to it. I haven’t really overthought the scope in which I have started to push the boundaries and step out of acting.”
