“Ouch”; and “snap”; were some of the words used to describe Shenae Grimes-Beech’s recent Tweet describing Hamilton.
The 90210 star has been shooting in Ontario for the past month for an upcoming Lifetime Canada movie, and although she thanked her hubby, musician Josh Beech for being by her side for the shoot, she also used the term “buttf**k”; to describe The Hammer!
Biggest thanks to the supportive and patient love of my life for putting up with the long hours in buttf*ck Hamilton! Love you my babe x

Now the Toronto born star shares directly with ET Canada how she feels about this Twitter fiasco! “I am truly horrified and deeply embarrassed by how negatively my tweet has been interpreted by Hamilton residents and other fellow Canadians,” she explains. “First and foremost, I’ve always prided myself on being from such a wonderful and beautiful country and would never want anyone to believe I’d say a bad word about it.”;
The newlywed actress, who is set to celebrate her first anniversary this Saturday, clarifies why she wrote what she did. “My intention was only using the term comically to describe the middle of nowhere as we were deep in the woods most days and my sweet husband was there with me for countless hours while I was working. In no way was I intending for it to be construed as a derogatory description of Hamilton itself, particularly because I had an awesome time there shooting this project!”;
Soon after her Tweet came under fire on May 5, Shenae told her followers:
Ouch! Way to misconstrue social media and have a negative perspective. Had an awesome time shooting in the beautiful forests of Hamilton…

Today she admits to us, she’ll think twice about what she says about this nation’s cities! “I now see I should have chosen my words more carefully but I do (insert swear word here) love Canada! :)”
