Comedian Jim Gaffigan Cracks The Nickelback Hate Phenomenon

The mysterious phenomenon of global hatred for Nickelback has reached an all-time high with police in Queensland, Australia indicting Nickelback for crimes against music.

The police took their hate for the band a few steps father when they attacked the Canadian rock band with a poster that reads “BOLO, be on the lookout. WANTED for crimes against music.”

Now it seems, comedian Jim Gaffigan has had enough of the incessant Nickelback meme that’s been spewed across the media over the years. “I feel like there’s this moment where people just decide that we’re all going to hate some celebrity for no real reason at all,” he said on a recent appearance on Conan O’Brien’s show. “I don’t know anything about Nickelback, but I know that my friends who are supercool despise Nickelback…Like they kidnapped the Lindbergh baby.”

He concluded: “I think it’s just people who define themselves by criticizing other things, and I think that’s wrong.”
