The Band Perry cancelled their Delaware concert on Sunday night after two men made serious threats on the grounds of the venue.

According to State Police Master Cpl. Gary Fournier, the men issued the shocking statements at approximately 2:55 p.m. and directed them to an employee at the Americana Bayside Welcome Center.

The performance is set to be postponed “due to heightened security concerns and for the safety of the public,” Fournier said.

Police have arrested one of the two men involved in the incident leading up to the cancellation of The Band Perry’s Delaware concert.

Selbyville resident Dzmitry N. Papou turned himself in to authorities after local media released photos of him and his companion.

The decision to cancel the show was made after the band’s management met with authorities to discuss the series of events.

The country group took to Instagram to confirm the news in a short and touching message. “To our friends + fans in Delaware – Due to heightened security concerns, and for the safety of our fans, the show has been rescheduled for August 17,” the image read. “While we are sad we don’t get to see you tonight, we love you and consider your wellbeing and security our top priority.
