Beyonce On Dallas Shooting Victims: ‘No Violence Will Create Peace’

Beyonce paid tribute to the deadly shootings in Dallas this past week, with a moving message on her Instagram.

Queen B shared a black and white video of the Texas state flag, featuring the names of the five police officers killed in the attack. The singer, a Texas native, shared her love to those killed and injured: “Rest in peace to the officers whose lives were senselessly taken yesterday in Dallas. I am praying for a full recovery of the seven others injured. No violence will create peace.”

She also elaborated on the shooting, saying people should be able to gather without fear: “Every human being has the right to gather in peaceful protest without suffering more unnecessary violence.”

Beyonce capped off her speech with a call for unity: “To effect change we must show love in the face of hate and peace in the face of violence.”
