Cuba Gooding Jr. told a TMZ reporter that he cried after learning that one of the victims in the Dallas shooting was a man he had met.

A few months ago, the actor took a photo with Officer Patrick Zamarripa and his partner. When Zamarripa was revealed as one of the five people killed, Gooding Jr. was shocked: “I cried today when I heard that. I cried.”
The 48-year-old star was clearly invested in the tragedy. He walked away from the reporter, but turned around as soon as he heard the officer’s name.
