The new trailer for a new mixed martial arts documentary pulls back the curtain on the sport, through the eyes of fighters like Montreal-born GSP and Ronda Rousey
“The Hurt Business” trailer opens with a simple question: “Have you ever felt bad about hurting anybody?”
The two fighters are joined by a slew of other MMA names, including: interim UFC Light Heavyweight champion Jon Jones, legendary fighter Chuck “The Iceman” Liddell and Canadian journalist Ariel Helwani.
In the documentary Georges St-Pierre, who starred in “Captain America: The Winter Soldier”, explains his motivation to compete: “I don’t enjoy hurting people… The only thing I want is [to] be the best in the world.”
Ronda Rousey, who has arguably become the UFC’s biggest star, says the competition transcends gender: “It’s not a man’s thing or a woman’s thing. It’s natural, and we’re all compelled to do it.”
The film is directed by sports documentarian Vlad Yudin and presents stories of how brain damage and injuries threaten the lives of some athletes.
It hits theatres this fall.
