The rock legend was performing with his side band Hollywood Vampires, which features Johnny Depp and Alice Cooper. According to Page Six, local police sources said Perry went into cardiac arrest around 9:30 in the evening.

A subsequent message issued from the rocker’s Twitter account gave a brief but vague update about his condition:

Videos posted on social media have captured a glimpse of the incident. The legendary guitarist was rocking out, before suddenly walking over to the speakers and stumbling off-stage. Sources said that Perry lost consciousness and was later revived by police on scene.

One concert attendee took to Instagram to recount what he saw: “He had to sit on [a] drum kit and then went behind a small wall and passed out… FDNY and NYPD carried him off quickly.”
