In Touch is reporting that Alec Baldwin has been arrested in New York City, with shocking photos of the former 30 Rock star in handcuffs as he’s being ushered into the back seat of a police cruiser.
According to the story, an insider at the scene states that “he was riding his bike the wrong way and didn’t have ID on him.”;
Another witness, quoted in the story, claims that Alec “was stopped by officers for riding the wrong way on a street. When the officers asked for ID, he got belligerent because he had none on him. The officers placed him under arrest for disorderly conduct.”;

However, a rep for the actor denies Alec was arrested and says that no charges were filed. “Alec was not arrested and not charged with a crime,”; reports a source close to the actor. “He received a summons relating to riding his bicycle the wrong way and not having identification. He is back home with his family.”;
Shortly after news of the incident emerged, Alec took to Twitter to blast the officer who took him into custody, claiming police did nothing to fend off paparazzi who “terrified”; his infant daughter and describing New York City as “a carnival of stupidity”; out to “criminalize behavior once thought benign.”;

Meanwhile, photographers outside my home ONCE AGAIN terrified my daughter and nearly hit her with a camera. The police did nothing.

New York City is a mismanaged carnival of stupidity that is desperate for revenue and anxious to criminalize behavior once thought benign.
