Madonna’s daughter, Lourdes Leon, features in her first-ever video campaign for Stella McCartney’s new fragrance, Pop.

The 19-year-old aspiring model appears fresh-faced with lilac braids in the video alongside actress Amandla Stenberg, model Kenya Kinski-Jones and musician Grimes. The girls, clad in nude-coloured camis and metallic platforms, ride in a convertible full of water – really bringing to life the idea of a “carpool” – before showing off their dance moves in the California desert.

The scent is meant to show off each woman’s personalities, and the video captures that effortlessly. “Pop is a spirit. It is about capturing and celebrating that very special and exciting time when you are finding yourself and coming into your own,” McCartney explains in a statement. “It is about freedom, and starting your life away from judgments or labels. Together as one, these strong young women are a force to be reckoned with.”

Leon was the final face to be announced for the fragrance with McCartney writing on Instagram: “Lola, who I’ve known her entire life, is at the beginning of her career as a performing artist. She’s an independent, inspirational and free-spirited young woman. Despite being born in the spotlight, she has kept her feet firmly on the ground!”
