UPDATE: America Ferrera spoke to Vulture about yesterday’s bizarre red-carpet incident, and she admitted she felt a bit violated by wackadoodle Ukrainian TV personality Vitalii Sediuk after he stuck his head under the actress’s dress.

“I don’t even know what happened!”; she told Vulture. “I feel something behind me, and there’s this guy under my dress, and then two guys drag him away! Of all of the things I prepared myself for, that was not one of them.”;

Added the actress: “I’ll never, ever forget the feeling of when we came out of the screening. Walking out hand in hand with your cast — Cate Blanchett to my left, by the way, holding my hand — it felt like a crazy weird dream. It was like, “I was at Cannes in my dream. I was on the red carpet and Cate Blanchett was next to me, and then some guy jumped under my dress!'”;

When asked if she found the act to be “kind of violating,”; she responded: “I agree with that statement.”;

We’ve all heard stories of people risking everything to seek asylum in America. But they typically don’t play out like this.

In a rather bizarre incident at Cannes, a man rushed the red carpet on Friday, attempting to hide beneath the dress of actress America Ferrera.

The former Ugly Betty star was en route to the Palais des Festivals for the world premiere of her latest film, How To Train Your Dragon 2.

Naturally, Cannes security made fast work of the quirky fellow, immediately removing him from the scene.

So who’s the guy? Why it’s none other than Ukrainian journalist Vitalii Sediuk. The notorious prankster has a history of stirring things up on the red carpet. You may recall the time Will Smith slapped Vitalii across the face for attempting to kiss him. Or the time he gave Bradley Cooper a full-on crotch hug.

Something tells us ol’ Vitalli will have a heck of a time nabbing media accreditation for next year’s festival.
