For Gene Simmons, the simple answer is… gravity, which was not a friend to the veteran KISS rocker during a show on Saturday in Bozeman, Montana, when he stepped backward while confetti fell, not realizing there’s an elevated platform right behind him.

As a result, Simmons backed into the edge of the riser and crashed down, Frankenstein-like, landing right on his rock star butt in what appears to be an outtake from “Spinal Tap” but is actually rock-star reality.
Luckily, a quick-thinking roadie rushed onstage and hauled “The Demon” to his feet and the show went on. Watch:
