A&E hit Gene Simmons Family Jewels may have run its course, but the mother-daughter duo of Shannon Tweed and Sophie Tweed-Simmons will continue to live their lives in front of the camera for their new reality show, Shannon & Sophie.
In the new unscripted series, the Newfoundland- born former Playboy Playmate and her daughter with KISS rocker Gene Simmons navigate the complicated and often hilarious relationship between mother and daughter.
In an interview with ET Canada, Sophie reveals that one element of this dynamic is her mom’s constant advice on everything from dating to underwear.
“She’s like, date something with a job,” gripes Sophie. “Like that’s brilliant, groundbreaking.” Quips Shannon: “No, it is — for her!”
Another piece of unwanted advice Sophie received from Shannon: “Underwear is overrated,” says Sophie with a laugh. “She’s like, ‘Girl, no one wants a panty line. I haven’t worn underwear in 20 years.’ And I was like, ‘Thanks mom, great tip!'”
