Twenty years later, the gang’s getting back together in the first trailer for Danny Boyle’s long-awaited “Trainspotting” sequel.

Ewan McGregor, Ewan Bremner, Jonny Lee Miller and Robert Carlyle are back to reprise their roles from the 1996 movie about Scottish drug addicts. “T2” picks up with our favourite low-lifes 20 years after the events of the first film. In a nod to the original film, the just-released teaser shows Supd, Renton, Sick Boy and Begbie standing on a platform as a train rattles by.

The sequel is loosely based on Irvine Welsh’s novel Porno and is set to be released in theatres in January 2017.

Filming wrapped on the sequel earlier this month, with McGregor sharing a snap on Instagram of the final day’s production schedule schedule, captioning it, “Gutted.”
