The world’s largest environmental organization, Greenpeace recently released a new ad for its “Save the Arctic“; campaign. Radiohead is lending their song “Everything In Its Right Place”; to the short film which shows a polar bear wandering around the garbage filled streets of London looking for something to eat.
The ad is meant to expose oil companies and their desire to drill in the Arctic – a continent already suffering from global warming.
Actor Jude Law is also involved with the project, lending his voice to the film – the actor and environmental enthusiast makes a statement concerning the state of the arctic: “As the Arctic sea ice melts, polar bears are being forced to go far beyond their normal habitat to find food and look after their young. This film is a powerful expression of how our fates are intertwined, because climate change is affecting all of us, no matter where we live.”;
And it looks like the ad is working, since Greenpeace is almost halfway to their goal of reaching 1 million signatures on their petition to declare the Arctic a global sanctuary.
