Eleven days of pomp and circumstance wrapped up Saturday night with some big awards at the closing ceremonies of the 67th Cannes Film Festival.

The much coveted Palme d’Or prize was snagged by  the longest film at the fest (3 hrs 6 min.), Turkish drama Winter Sleep. Director Nuri Bilge Ceylan dedicated his award “to the young people of Turkey who have lost their lives during the last year”;.

Canada’s own Xavier Dolan shared the Jury Prize for his film Mommy. The other Jury Prize winner? French director Jean-Luc Godard. Not too shabby for a 25 year old kid from Montreal.
